We loved spending 1 night here. Our suite was equipped with an electric kettle, central heating and a work desk. The staff were courteous, the breakfast was plentiful and sensational. The hotel was in a very central location near the sea.
Shame the bathroom was very small.

Our stay was fantastic, appreciated delicious and plentiful breakfasts.
The hotel had a very central setting near the sea. Didn't like when it was rainy outside, went to Penfras Aur to relax and grab some food.

Old-fashioned charm overshadowed by noisy neighboring rooms and poor cleanliness.

In summary it was a wondefully relaxing weekend. The weather was fair one day, bad (rainy) on another day, and good (sunny) on the third day, but this is what one might expect in North Wales. My main interets were revisiting a part of Wales I had been to on many occasions in my childhood, and also travelling on the newly-opened Welsh Highland Railway and also the Festiniog Railway, two wonderful and (each) unique attractions. Very helpful staff.
The style is old fashioned, which might put some people off, but suited me fine.

Garden terrace, but somehow strangely farmed.
Outside seating areas have probably not been cleaned for weeks or even months. Foliage from last year, cigarette butts, although non-smoking area. Room very small.

Staff were brilliant, from reception to restaurant and the bar, they were pleasant, polite, and helpful. Food is excellent. Location is ideal for local beaches and mountains. Port Meirion 10 minutes away. The room needed an upgrade but was clean. I would stay here again

I found the hotel very poor, we where given a room out side of the hotel and told not to drink the water as it came from a tank but not given any bottle water .

The Lion Hotel & Studio provided avery comfy and tidy stay. The staff were consistently polite and attentive, aiding in my business needs efficiently. The location, set on a hill, offered beautiful views and was conveniently close to local amenities and the beach. The dining options served quality traditional meals with a lovely presentation.
The WiFi signal was intermittently weak in my room.

Breakfast was good
Room was small and little room to move. We had to walk outside to get back into the hotel for breakfast. The room was in a separate building.
